Acceptable Use Policy
Autera is for running motor vehicle workshops. Do not use it to do anything illegal, harmful, or abusive. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for using Autera. It forms part of the Terms of Service and applies to every user. Breaching this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account, and we may report serious breaches to the relevant authorities.
1. Lawful use only
- You must use Autera only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws of England and Wales, the United Kingdom, and any other jurisdiction where you operate.

4. No technical abuse

You may export your own data using the data export tool, but you must not export data for the purpose of resale or commercial redistribution to third parties without explicit consent of the data subjects involved.
7. Account integrity

- Do not share login credentials. If team members need access, invite them as members of your workshop.
- Notify us promptly at support@getautera.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
8. Reporting violations
If you become aware of a breach of this AUP, please report it to abuse@getautera.com. Include sufficient detail (workshop slug, what you observed, any timestamps) for us to investigate.
9. Enforcement
We reserve the right, but are not obliged, to investigate suspected breaches of this AUP. Where a breach is confirmed, we may, depending on severity:
- Issue a warning and ask you to remediate
- Restrict specific features (e.g. document uploads) pending review
- Suspend your account temporarily
- Terminate your account immediately, with the data retention timelines in our Terms applying
